In our most recent inspection (June 2022), Waterside Academy was praised for creating a calm, orderly environment where pupils thrive. Inspectors highlighted the school’s commitment to fostering respectful relationships, promoting positive behaviour, and encouraging independent learning.

Our broad and well-structured curriculum was recognised as a strength, ensuring pupils build essential knowledge and skills over time. The early years provision was celebrated for its high expectations and exceptional support, helping children flourish from the start of their educational journey.

Inspectors were impressed by the school’s strong personal development programme, which instils respect, empathy, and an appreciation of diversity. Pupils also benefit from emotional and mental health support, alongside opportunities for extracurricular activities, including competitive sports.
