At Waterside Academy, we welcome applications from families who wish to join our inclusive and nurturing school community. Whether you are applying for a place in our Nursery, Reception, or an in-year transfer, here’s what you need to know:

Reception Admissions
Applications for a Reception place at Waterside Academy are processed through the Hertfordshire County Council admissions system. You can apply online at www.hertfordshire.gov.uk/admissions.  Late applications will be considered after all on-time applications have been processed.

Nursery Admissions & 30-Hour Funding
We offer morning-only nursery sessions (15 hours per week) and limited 30-hour funded places for eligible families. Nursery applications are managed directly by the school, and forms can be downloaded below or collected from the school office. Admissions follow Hertfordshire County Council’s oversubscription criteria if demand exceeds places.

In-Year Admissions
If you are looking to join Waterside Academy mid-year, you can apply via the In-Year Admissions process. Application forms are available to download below or contact the school office. If a place is available, we will offer it to your child; otherwise, you can join our waiting list.
